Minutes of TRAC Club meeting at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 8^th, 2006, at the Red Cross Office

Discussions:

1.) WIMU2006 – Summary by Charles, K7ZOO, WIMU2006 Executive Director

Letter has been mailed to Joel Harrison, W5ZN, President of ARRL, from Charles welcoming and thanking Joel for agreeing to be the keynote speaker at the Saturday night, August 5^th, banquet. In addition the letter advises that both a room has been reserved at the Virginian and that Pre-registration is reserved in his name.
Tod Olson, K0TO, Idaho Falls, ID, will form a four person WIMU steering committee consisting of one licensed amateur from each of the four states, WY, ID, MT & UT. The committee will prepare WINU rules & regulations including a financial promissory note to which present & future club WIMU sponsors must comply. Rev Morton, WS7W, Rocky Mountain Division Director will be the Wyoming committeeman.

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce will help advertise, through mailings, all non-convention activities that are available to families & friends of the convention attendees.

2.) VE testing by TRAC. The club has scheduled Saturday, April 22^nd, for a VE testing session. ARRL is forwarding all required forms and testing aids. They will call David, W7OID, 3 weeks prior to re-confirm the date and list the date in the ARRL VE testing web site.

3.) Brief discussion concerning a TRAC club luncheon or breakfast. A day of the week could not be decided. One option is a dinner meeting. More later on this subject.
