Minutes of TRAC meeting at the Incidence Command Trailer on Tuesday, February 8, 2005. Meeting started at 7:00 PM.

Present:

David Dean, W7OID, President

Charles Burd, K7ZOO, Vice President

Bill Rinker, NE9Z, newly appointed Secretary/Treasurer

Duran Saavedra, W7AJK, Repeater Specialist

DISCUSSIONS:

1.) Snow King Repeater

* Parts for the old disabled, 20 year old, Snow King 146.91 repeater will arrive this week from California to repair the antique repeater which is to be used for later back-up.

* A newer repeater (same model as the current repeater) will also arrive from California this week. Depending on weather and mode of transportation to access the Snow King repeater site, it is estimated that this newer repeater will be installed within the next four (4) weeks.

* Total cost for the parts and the newer repeater was $500.00, paid for by the county.

* This spring the county, when money is available, will order a brand new repeater for installation on Snow King soon after. The above older repeaters will then be held in storage as back-ups.

2.) Club Call:

* Application for a TRAC club call has been forwarded to FCC. When a club call is assigned (2x3), the club will then request a vanity club call W7RAC.

3.) Charles's Red Giant web site:

* The web site which currently includes AREA/RACES activities & membership roll will also announce repeater activities when available and include other pertinent club announcements.

4.) News coverage:

* Articles of club existence, 146.91 repeater upgrade and club activities will appear in the local Jackson Hole News/Guide in the near future. Purpose is to alert new Hams in the area and advise those who wish to upgrade their license when Club VE test sessions are announced.

5.) Dues:

Dues will be $20.00/year. Collection of dues will be at next meeting. A Club bank account will be established when sufficient funs are available.

6.) Meetings:

* Club meetings will be on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Incidence Command Trailer unless advised otherwise.
